Writer Director

Ran Jing is a transmedia writer and director whose work spans live action and animation. A graduate of NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, her debut feature MODEL was acclaimed by Variety China, won multiple awards at Academy Award® and BAFTA-qualifying festivals, and received a theatrical release in China. Named one of ISA’s Top 25 Writers to Watch, her work has earned NYSCA/NYFA Artist Fellowship award, CineStory Foundation scholarships, been selected for the Stowe Narrative Lab, and placed on Coverfly’s Red List.

Before transitioning to live-action, she worked as a storyboard artist at Blue Sky Studios, contributing to major animated features including SPIES IN DISGUISE, THE PEANUTS MOVIE, and the ICE AGE franchise.

She has developed features with Wanda Pictures and written film and television projects for Ruiyi Film and ViuTV. Her transnational working experience across both Hollywood and China deeply informs her storytelling, fueling her passion for creating nuanced, character-driven narratives that explore themes of autonomy and belonging. A proud member of the WGA and Film Fatales, she is currently a Directing Fellow at AFI’s DWW+ program and is developing her second feature, FELT.

Fiona is an award-winning producer and multi-hyphenate creative whose work spans film, television, and documentary. She produced the documentary series GO GENTLY (HBO, Amazon Prime) and was the Series Associate Producer on Netflix's IDA-nominated MY LOVE: Six Stories of True Love, and 2nd Unit Production Manager on Netflix’s QUEEN CHARLOTTE: A Bridgerton Story.

Film work includes FIRELINE (Tribeca 2024, Indeed Rising Voices), now streaming on Hulu, and THE MASON RING (Martha’s Vineyard African American Film Festival, HBO Max's 'Best Short Film'), ALL I EVER WANTED (HollyShorts 'Best Comedy'), and BFI Network and Tribeca Institute Pond5 funded OUR SISTER (Leeds International Film Festival 'Best British Short').

As a two-time Film Independent Fellow (Producing Lab & Project Involve), Gotham Market Global Producer Hub participant, and recipient of the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation Producer Grant, she champions bold voices that provoke meaningful conversation and emotional resonance.

Selena Leoni is an award-winning transnational producer and executive with over a decade of interdisciplinary experience in film, television, and multimedia. Shaped by her upbringing in Italy and China, Selena offers a unique perspective. She has led diverse projects across genres that reached various platforms, including STARZ, Amazon Prime, and Apple TV. Notably, her works have earned recognition at prestigious festivals. BIENVENIDOS A LOS ANGELES was on the Shortlist for the 2024 Academy Awards, EID MUBARAK received an Honorable Mention on the 2024 Gold List, and HAINT was a finalist at the 2024 Tribeca and Chanel Through Her Lens Program and winner of the 2025 Indeed Rising Voices. Her feature film, YOUNG KING, by Emmy-winning director Bryant Griffin, premiered at the 2024 American Black Film Festival. As a member of BAFTA Connect, Berlinale Talents, Gold House Futures, and Film Independent, Selena advocates for social inclusion and amplifies historically marginalized voices within the industry.

cinematographer

Kai Krause is a German cinematographer based in Los Angeles since 2009. A graduate of the American Film Institute Conservatory, the Metropolitan Film School in London, and Idyllwild Arts Academy, he has lensed several feature films as well as countless commercials and music videos for clients including Celine Dion, Ozuna, J. Balvin, Gatorade, Land Rover, and Delta.

His feature credits include Unremarkable (dir. Jared Anderson), recipient of the ASC Heritage Award; Wild Beauty (dir. Ashley Avis), an epic documentary filmed over four years and 20,000 miles across 13 states in the American West that earned Best Cinematography at Doc LA, Red Rock, Atlanta, and the Boston Film Festival; the neo-noir thriller Breakwater (dir. James Rowe), praised by SJM News as having “killer cinematography”; and And The Lamb (dir. Ashley Avis), shot in the Saudi Arabian desert.

In 2025, Kai expands his filmography with the neo-noir Dark Highway (dir. Matthew Gentile) and the dark comedy Hard Buns (dir. Andy Gillies), further showcasing his versatility across narrative and commercial storytelling.

Production designer

Doriane is a Los Angeles based production designer and set decorator originally from Paris, France. She is an honors graduate from the University of California Davis with BAs in Psychology and Fine Art. After her post baccalaureate painting studies at Columbia University, she began seeking filmmaking opportunities. She later received her Masters in production design from the American Film Institute. 

Doriane has now been working in film and TV for almost a decade. Her films have garnered awards and nominations at over 50 film festivals including SXSW, Tribeca, Slamdance, AFI Fest, Raindance, the Student Emmys, and the DGA Awards. 

She has worked for companies such as Disney, Netflix, Sony, Showtime,  HBO, Peacock, and Hulu, and is a union member of Local 800 and 44. 

Sound designer

Zhang YanCheng, born and raised in China, is a supervising sound editor and re-recording mixer with over a decade of experience across both independent and commercial projects. He is passionate about using sound to give form to abstract emotions and enhance psychological storytelling. His work has been featured at major festivals including Cannes, Berlin, and the Toronto International Film Festival, with credits such as The Water Murmurs (2022), winner of the Short Film Palme d’Or, and The Crossing (2018), a nominee for the Berlinale Crystal Bear.

Drawn to the physical and immersive qualities of sound, YanCheng has contributed to a wide range of major Chinese blockbusters across diverse genres and worldbuilding styles, including the action-comedy, Detective Chinatown 2 (2018), the musical, City of Rock (2017), and the crime thriller, Back to the Wharf (2020). An alumnus of Berlinale Talents 2024, his work spans theatrical features, television, and commercials, and is widely recognized for its craft and precision.

Editor

Evita Yuepu Zhou

Evita Yuepu Zhou is a film & TV editor with experience in both narrative and documentary work in the US and China. 

Her recent project, FACTORY, directed by acclaimed Chinese documentarian Hao Zhou, premiered at the Sheffield Doc Fest with two sold-out screenings and exceptional reviews. Evita’s other notable works include Netflix’s smash hit THE BROTHERS SUN, starring Michelle Yeoh. Narrative film KAMA’ĀINA won Best LGBTQ+ Short at the 2020 Palm Springs International Film Festival and screened at MoMA’s “The Future of Film Is Female” series. Her documentary credits include the Emmy-nominated WUHAN WUHAN, which won Best International Feature at 2021 Doc Edge Festival. CONFUCIAN DREAM which won Special Jury Prize at the 54th Karlovy Vary International Film Festival.

With 12 years in the industry and her experiences as an immigrant, Evita’s future goal is to tell untold stories across film, TV, and new media.
